Memoriam is an English death metal band from Birmingham which is under contract with Nuclear Blast. It was founded in 2016 by former Bolt Thrower singer Karl Willetts and Benediction bassist Frank Healy. Scott Fairfax plays guitar, Andy Whale is on the drums. The band has released three studio albums, two of which reached the charts in Germany, For the Fallen at and The Silent Vigil at On 21 June 2019 the third album Requiem for Mankind was released.

Today, we present a very special video for new album track 'The Veteran'. The video was created by Daniel Dodd. Daniel was a soldier in the British Army, who came back from Iraq as a veteran in 2007. He is now a photographer, who uses his work to address the traumas he faced during, and since, his deployment. Death in June are a neofolk group led by English folk musician Douglas Pearce, better known as Douglas P. The band was originally formed in Britain in 1981 as a trio, but after the other members left in 1984 and 1985 to work on other projects, the group became the work of Douglas P. and various collaborators. Beginning with the 1986 double album The World That Summer, Pearce continued Death in June primarily as a solo concern, aided by a revolving group of collaborators including Current 93's David Tibet, Boyd Rice and Coil's John Balance; the abrasive electronics and martial rhythms of early efforts gave way to an increasingly expansive sonic approach over the course of subsequent outings.
